'Stylish' £40 Dunelm lamp is 'perfect solution' for spaces without plug sockets

Dunelm shoppers are singing the praises of an “elegant” lamp that’s become a massive hit online. The high street favourite, renowned for its stylish and wallet-friendly homeware, might just have another bestseller on its hands.

The Cassia Pressed Glass Rechargeable Touch Dimmable Table Lamp, £40, features a pressed, cut glass design. It’s also rechargeable, making it perfect for customers wanting to illuminate corners of their home where plug sockets are nowhere to be found.

The full Dunelm product description reads: “Indulge in the glamour of the Cassia Pressed Glass Rechargeable Table Lamp. The cut glass design, 3-stage touch feature, and rechargeable technology make it a versatile and stylish addition, with a 3-hour charging time and 8-hour working time depending on brightness level.”

For shoppers browsing other options, several retailers stock comparable table lamps. Marks and Spencer features the Checkerboard Table Lamp at £49.50, alongside the Winnie Table Lamp for £69. Next also stocks the Brass Carson Touch Table Lamp, tagged at £42, reports the Daily Record.

The lamp has achieved an impressive 4.6-star rating from rave customer feedback. Among the reviews, one buyer said: “Great portable rechargeable light, that looks elegant too.”

Another delighted customer wrote: “A very elegant and practical lamp. I needed a light on the landing where there was no socket so this was a perfect solution.”

A third customer chimed in, writing: “Very attractive lamps, look more expensive than they are. Last a good long time after charging. Bought a second one as I was so pleased with the first.”

However, not all shoppers were equally impressed with the product, with one shopper writing: “Only lasts an hour then goes dim. Not a great lamp.”

Another added: “Bought two of these for a holiday lodge that has a shortage of power sockets. They look good and provide a good light but they take hours to recharge.”

Despite this, many continued to praise the lamp. One person said: “This is a lovely little lamp, stylish with a cut glass shade, great quality for the price. I wanted a cordless table light for my hall where the power sockets are not convenient. This beaut fitted the bill 100%. The battery life is very good too.”

Another wrote: “What a beautiful, practical lamp which would look great in any room. Its currently being used in the kitchen and gives off enough light to illuminate the whole area. At a gentle touch this lamp can be switched on to two levels of brightness.”

A third added: “Once charged it lasts for ages and is suitable if you need light in an area which doesn’t have an electric socket. All in all I believe this lamp is ideal in every way and I would highly recommend purchasing it.”
