Looking for a dual-threat quarterback to fill out your fantasy roster? We’ve got you covered. A speedy wide receiver? No problem. All these things and more can be found among this week’s post-waiver options. (Fantasy stats via Yahoo! Sports)
QB Jaxson Dart | New York Giants
The second of New York’s pair of first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, Dart is set to take over for an ineffective Russell Wilson and make his first regular-season start against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
The 22-year-old quarterback played well in the preseason, going 32-of-47 for 372 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, while running for 52 yards and a score on six carries. Those rushing stats are no fluke. Dart ran for 1,541 yards and 14 touchdowns in four college seasons with USC and Ole Miss.
Dart may not pay dividends against the Chargers, but he has an excellent matchup against the New Orleans Saints the following week. With four quarterbacks on a bye in Week 5, stashing Dart makes sense. Dart remains available in 80 percent of leagues.
RB Ollie Gordon II | Miami Dolphins
Miami’s rookie running back tripled his season total for carries with nine attempts against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. It could continue against the New York Jets in Week 4.
Gordon joined the Dolphins as a sixth-round pick in this year’s draft and served as the team’s No. 2 running back behind De’Von Achane while Jaylen Wright recovered from offseason knee surgery. Wright should be back for Week 4, although at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Gordon is better suited to be the team’s goal-line back than either of his teammates.
Such was the case in Week 3 when the former Oklahoma State Cowboy rushed for a two-yard touchdown on the team’s opening drive. Gordon led the FBS with 1,732 yards and won the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back in 2023, but had just 880 yards on 95 fewer carries in 2024.
Obviously, the Dolphins need the former, not the latter, when they host their division rival on “Monday Night Football.” Gordon remains available in 70 percent of leagues.
WR KaVontae Turpin | Dallas Cowboys
Even while stuck behind teammates CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and Jalen Tolbert, Turpin still saw nine targets over the past three games, catching eight for 129 yards and a touchdown. Most of his snaps have come on special teams as one of the NFL’s best kick returners, but that could change against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Lamb will miss at least two games with a high ankle sprain. It will give Turpin a chance to build on his two-catch, 64-yard performance against the Chicago Bears in Week 3.
He’ll have his work cut out for him against a Packers defense allowing the seventh-fewest passing yards (168.0). With increased opportunity and 4.31 speed, though, Turpin could be the catalyst Dallas needs to get by Green Bay. Turpin remains available in 91 percent of leagues.
