An inspection on Wednesday revealed the eatery is operating without a valid health permit. The restaurant changed hands in March 2024, but the new owner failed to notify the health department.
During the inspection, non-potable water and grease from a clogged wok-station pipe leading to grease interceptor was observed leaking into floor cavity and onto floor. The restaurant also lacks other required plumbing fixtures, including a three-compartment sink with a grease trap, a service contract for grease trap and an air gap on the food preparation sink.
For the restaurant to reopen, a permanent food facility application must be submitted the the health department food safety program. Plumbing plans must be filed with the health department and repairs made by a registered master plumber. The restaurant’s kitchen floors must be disinfected.
A “closed” placard is posted at an establishment when an imminent health hazard is identified at a restaurant or kitchen or if it has been operating without proper permits. It is unlawful to operate a food facility with a “closed” placard.
