STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here’s something for all you health freaks and sports nuts!
A free health screening event, named Staten Island HealthFest 2025, will take place Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Staten Island University Hospital Community Park in St. George.
Hosted by SiCLIP (Staten Island Community-Led Interventions for Prevention) and CleanCut Health, this festival is part of a bold mission to get 5,000 Staten Islanders screened for preventive care and social needs.
At the same time, the event’s attendees will have a chance to meet some NFL alumni, while having a grand time exploring the scenic park.
“Whether you’re coming for the NFL legends, the free haircuts, the raffles and giveaways, or just some good vibes and healthy eats — there’s something here foreveryone,“ said a statement on the event’s press release.
Here is the schedule:
2 p.m. — Kickoff & Community Fun
Health screenings open across the park DJ, games, giveaways, and family activities; Braiding & barber station; Kids Zone and wellness demos; Food tastings from local vendors
3:30-4 p.m — Halftime Huddle: NFL Alumni Panel
Real talk with former NFL players about pain, wellness, and thriving after football; Youth Q&A encouraged
4 p.m. to 5 a.m. — Breakout Hour: Learn & Level Up
Choose from two 30-minute sessions: Session 1 (4–4:30 p.m.) — Healthy Cooking on a Budget; Hands-Only CPR Training; Session 2 (4:30–5 p.m.); Concussion Safety for Families; Mental Health & Stress Work.
5 to 6 p.m. – Open Hour
Keep collecting stamps for your Health Passport; Explore booths, enjoy music, take a family photo. Final chance to complete your 5 actions for the raffle
Community Dinner & FireSide Chat
Enjoy a community meal while listening to NFL Alumni; Fireside Chat; Reflections on healing, resilience, and community strength
6:30 to 7 p.m. — Final Quarter Celebration
Raffle winners announced (including signed memorabilia) Community shoutouts and thank-yous; DJ wrap-up and closing activities
