Welcoming two oncologists to Northern Light Cancer Care in Brewer

BREWER — Arslan Babar, MD and Muhammad Niazi, MD recently joined Northern Light Cancer Care in Brewer to care for adult patients. Both physicians are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Oncology, and board eligible in hematology.
Dr. Babar has a special interest in thoracic, head and neck and skin cancers. Dr. Babar earned his medical degree from Shifa College of Medicine in Pakistan. He completed his training with a hematology and oncology fellowship from St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He also completed an Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care at Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Niazi has a special interest in treating cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and lung cancer. He is dedicated to managing a full spectrum of blood disorders, from benign conditions like anemia to malignant hematology, including leukemia and lymphoma. He earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan. He completed an Internal Medicine residency and fellowships in hematology and medical oncology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Northwell Health/Staten Island University Hospital, Staten Island, New York.
The team at Northern Light Cancer Care in the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute welcomes referrals for oncology and hematology. They look forward to caring for new patients with cancer and blood conditions.
