BAY CITY, MI – CAN Council will host its 22nd Annual Dine & Unwind fundraiser from 5:30-9 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City-Riverfront.
A local nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect through its nationally accredited and evidence-based education, intervention, and advocacy programs, CAN Council uses the event to help raise money for child abuse programs in Bay County through public ticket sales, event sponsorships, auctions and raffles.
“Dine & Unwind, presented by Dow Credit Union, fuels CAN Council’s vital programs in our community,” CAN Council President and CEO Heather Fisher said in a statement. “Your presence makes the impact possible. Let’s come together to protect our children in Bay County.”
Attendees will sample autumn-inspired dishes prepared by local restaurants along with seasonal Michigan craft beers, ciders, and wine. General admission tickets cost $75 and include event entry, local food, and 10 drink tasting tickets.
Those who prefer to support the cause from home can register for free to participate in the online silent auction.
The organization is also seeking event sponsors for the fundraiser.
People can register or get more information by calling CAN Council at 989-671-1345 or the nonprofit’s website.
