Nandyal Collector Rajakumari Ganiya on Thursday handed over cheques for ₹20 lakh each to nine children who were orphaned due to COVID-19.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Rajakumari Ganiya said that the Centre and State governments were implementing the PM CARES for Children and Mission Vatsalya respectively to support the children who were orphaned due to COVID-19. She added that both the governments were offering ₹10 lakh each to such children. She said special care was also given on the health, education and empowerment of such children through Mission Vatsalya.
