Qatar Foundation for Social Work Celebrates World Social Responsibility Day

Doha, September 25 (QNA) – Qatar Foundation for Social Work celebrated World Social Responsibility Day, which falls on Sept. 25 of every year, by organizing a workshop under the title ‘What does it mean to be a part of the world?’ with the participation of several employees from various governmental bodies.

Qatar Foundation for Social Work said in a statement that the World Social Responsibility Day confirms the importance of individual and institutional engagement in building cohesive communities, indicating that the foundation’s mission is to promote the values of participation and establish the concept of social responsibility as a daily practice that contributes to the advancement and progress of society.

On this occasion, Director of the Communication Department at Qatar Foundation for Social Work, Noor Al Muhannadi, said that this workshop is part of the foundation’s efforts to raise awareness of the concept of social responsibility and disseminate its culture, emphasizing that the goal of these workshops is to transform social responsibility into a sustainable behavior in individuals’ lives.

The individual’s role begins within their immediate surroundings and is reflected in the entire society, embodying the values ​​of solidarity and cooperation upon which Qatari society is based, she added.

The workshop addressed the principles of social responsibility not only as a theoretical concept, but also as a practical value that individuals experience in their daily lives at work, family, and community levels. This was presented through several themes, including the individual’s sense of social responsibility and how to translate it into behavior, the psychological dimensions of responsibility, the role of Islamic law in instilling the values of cooperation and community service, as well as personal aspects, connection to different segments of society, and the importance of work-life balance.

Qatar Foundation for Social Work continues to organize workshops and other programs addressing various community issues, reinforcing the concept of social responsibility as part of the comprehensive national vision. This is in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aspires to achieve sustainable development and strengthen social cohesion. (QNA)
