Bengaluru to host global horticulture expo

HortiConnect India 2025, an international horticulture exhibition and conference, is set to debut in Bengaluru from September 25–27 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The three-day event, which aims to connect growers, entrepreneurs and agribusinesses with markets and technologies worldwide, will bring together more than 125 exhibitors, 10,000 participants, global delegations, and experts.

Supported by the Government of Karnataka, the event is organised by HortiConnect Global Private Limited, along with the National Horticulture Board, South India Floriculture Association, Indian Greenhouse Manufacturer Association, and others. The Netherlands is a partner country, and delegations from Turkey, Spain, Israel, Sri Lanka would participate.

Highlights of the event include showcasing smart irrigation, AI, robotics, hydroponics, vertical farming, and post-harvest solutions. Workshops for farmers on good agricultural practices, innovation pavilions and investor sessions for startups, in-house conferences, buyer-seller meetings, floral fashion show, and farm visits will be some of the other features.

Export quantum

The expo comes at a time when India’s horticulture production is projected to reach 362 million tonnes in 2025 and exports are nearing $1.8 billion.

“HortiConnect India 2025 is a platform to bring Indian growers shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the world. It is by the farmers, for the farmers,” said Rajeeb Kumar Roy, Director, HortiConnect and MD, Agriplast Tech India.

Women’s role

The expo will also focus on women in horticulture, climate-smart farming, biodegradable materials, and carbon credit opportunities. Demonstrations of smart greenhouses, sensor-driven irrigation, and vertical farming will showcase sustainable solutions. The HortiTech Innovation Awards will honour path-breaking technologies and models.
