You must be living under a rock if you still haven’t heard about the Air India-Zomato collaboration. The airline company and the popular online food delivery application announced a special partnership offering exclusive benefits to passengers by blending travel experiences with food delivery rewards. Effective as of September 25, the alliance falls under Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty programme, which is a frequent flyer venture, allowing members to win Maharaja Points for flights with Air India and Star Alliance partners, as well as earn Tier Points (Red, Silver, Gold, Platinum) for enhanced benefits.
The initiative enables users who have their Maharaja Club accounts linked to their Zomato ones to access several incentives. Users opting for the facility can earn 2 percent Maharaja Points on every food delivery order above Rs 499.
Perks Of Air India-Zomato Collaboration
New members willing to join the Maharaja Club through Zomato are also going to receive a welcome bonus of 2,000 points after taking their first flight with Air India. These points can be used to book future trips as well. Additionally, a daily lucky draw can help users win a free one-way economy ticket, which will be valid for booking and travel within six months.
Soon after the exciting feature was rolled out, some users faced difficulties in connecting their Maharaja Club and Zomato accounts. One such user opened up about their ordeal by sharing a screenshot on X. Tagging Air India, they wrote, “Hi, I am unable to link my Zomato to Air India Maharaja. I am getting this error. What can be done?”
The screengrab came with a message that read, “Linking failed. Please connect with Air India customer service and try again later”, which popped up just below the mobile number.
