Last week’s player of the week took the honor again after delivering a clutch performance in leading the Nighthawks (4-1) to a thrilling 26-21 comeback win over Oak Grove (2-3).
Against the Grizzlies, he completed 12 of 25 passes for a season-high 274 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. In addition to throwing touchdown passes of 67 and 99 yards to Greyson Council, Kemp orchestrated a game-winning drive that included converting a fourth-and-14.
Voting for player of the week takes place each week from Monday at noon to Wednesday at noon, with the winner revealed every Thursday. Nominations are posted each Monday on greensboro.com by noon.
