Direct from Abu Dhabi: Etihad set to launch flights to Mallorca from next summer

Etihad Airways will be adding Mediterranean flair to its summer schedule with new seasonal flights to Mallorca from 2026. The new service makes Palma the 29th destination in Etihad’s growing network and will be the only direct connection between Asia and Mallorca.

From 12 June to mid-September 2026, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier will operate three weekly services to the island. Flight EY115 will depart Abu Dhabi at 02:55, landing in Palma at 08:15, while the return flight, EY116, will leave Palma at 10:30 and arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 19:00. Services will run on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The route will be flown by Etihad’s new Airbus A321LR, designed to bring a widebody-style experience to a single-aisle aircraft. Passengers in First can expect private suites with closing doors and fine dining, while Business travellers enjoy lie-flat seating in a 1-1 herringbone layout. Economy offers a quieter cabin with modern seats, extra legroom and personal entertainment screens at every seat.

Chief Executive Antonoaldo Neves said the addition of Palma would appeal to holidaymakers looking for both relaxation and culture. “From lively nightlife and stylish marinas to secluded coves and historic villages, Mallorca has something for every traveller. We’re delighted to connect Abu Dhabi and our wider network to this Balearic gem.”
