    Are the Skate Servers Down? Server Status Explained

    Are you having problems trying to access the Skate servers? As with any online-only game, a good connection is needed at all times to enjoy the game.

    Now that Skate is in early access following years of development and testing, it’s time for everyone to jump in, but that can cause problems.

    Here is your answer to whether the Skate servers are currently down and where you can keep up to date on the server status going forward.

    Are the Skate Servers Down?

    The Skate servers are not currently down, but in the early days of the game hitting early access, they are having issues with stability.

    Because of these stability hurdles, you could be playing and randomly be disconnected with a message saying your connection was lost. In cases where you are playing during a busy time with lots of other players trying to hop on, you could be stuck waiting in a queue or continually failing to reconnect.

    If you are having problems staying connected to the Skate servers, first check your own connection to be safe. Try resetting your internet router and make sure you are playing the most up-to-date version of the game.

    Both of the sources above will be the most up-to-date places you can check to see if Skate is currently down with server issues.

    If either side is showing problems, then, unfortunately, there is not really much you can do until EA can get things working again. You can try to continuously connect to the game, but that is likely to only bring in more headaches and frustrations.

    During times when a specific game or service is down, we recommend finding a different game to play or something. That is the unfortunate reality with games that have the always-online requirement. If the servers are overloaded or not performing for whatever reason, then the game is not playable, regardless of how much you prefer to just skate around the area on your own.
