Michigan had a chance to win the first set, but gave away too many points in crunch time, including a serving error on set point for the Huskers. Nebraska won 25-22, despite Michigan having the better hitting percentage at .323.
The second set was a good example of how a team is in serve-receive will go a long way into determining the result.
Nebraska was pretty good in passing, minus some ace serves on the edge of the court. Some good passes allowed the Huskers to set Teraya Sigler on back-row attacks, and setter Bergen Reilly to score on two tips at the net. The Huskers hit .565 for the set.
Michigan wasn’t very good in serve-receive and hit .000 for the set.
