ShackStream: The Messenger on The Stevetendo Show! Episode 628

Tonight, on The Stevetendo Show, we’re starting a brand new playthrough. In the past, I have used The Stevetendo Show to play games that I have never played before, and that trend will continue tonight with The Messenger. I have wanted to play The Messenger for quite some time, so I jumped at the chance to buy it when it was super cheap on the Nintendo Switch eShop last week.

I am a fan of the Metroidvania genre with the likes of Bloodstained, Hollow Knight: Silksong and more. The Messenger had me with classic old-school platforming and sold me even more with ninjas. We haven’t played a platformer on the show in a while, but we finished Kirby and the Forgotten Star-Crossed World’s DLC last week. If The Messenger doesn’t pan out going forward, we always have the yearly Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past playthrough. Set to go live at 5 p.m. PDT/8 p.m. EDT, join The Stevetendo Show for the start of The Messenger playthrough.

Shackers who want to join in on the fun can head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel, where you can tune into The Stevetendo Show every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

If you can’t make tonight’s show, you can watch Monday nights at 6 p.m. PDT/9 p.m. EDT. Coming up on the show is more Mario Kart World on Monday night and Donkey Kong Bananza on Tuesday night. The action is heating up on The Stevetendo Show and you won’t want to miss it.

Be sure to check out the Shacknews Twitch channel and the Shacknews VODs YouTube channel. Catch up on some of your favorite Shacknews programs with a subscription to the YouTube channel and a follow to the Twitch channel. If you aren’t aware, Shacknews has a new service for you called Shackmaps. The lovely Shacknews staff has gone through some of your favorite video games to keep you from getting lost.

This time of the year is always interesting. Tokyo Game Show is this weekend, so safe travels to everyone lucky enough to go. Similar to a Nintendo Direct, I’ll share my thoughts on the show as well as what I’d like to see announced. It’s also another sports night in The Stevetendo Show house, and the Mets are fighting for their playoff lives. For those paying attention, the Mets won last night and got help in the standings, so that’s a bonus.

Keep coming up with new games that you’d love to see on The Stevetendo Show. If it’s on the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, it could see a starring role in an upcoming Stevetendo episode. You never know when Nintendo is going to add something to the Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, so stay tuned.
