RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio — A First Energy technician said Sept. 18 that a Huckleberry Drive resident became upset with him when she arrived home while he was installing a new meter.
He said that she told him that she did not want the meter, but he had finished installing it and advised her that she would have to contact the business. He said she then attempted to grab the old meter from his work bucket, but he pushed her hand away before gathering his equipment and leaving.
The resident told officers that he slapped her hand forcefully and that she wanted to file assault charges.
The incident was referred to the prosecutor, who found that there was no probable cause for the technician to be criminally charged.
