Married at First Sight UK fans say they'd 'be fuming too' after bride's wedding day request

Married at First Sight UK fans said they’d ‘be fuming too’ after being left stunned by a bride’s wedding day request. The couples on the Channel 4 programme haven’t had the best of starts following the launch of its 10th series. Sarah and Dean’s wedding day featured an awkward moment where the former was left unimpressed by his rapping just moments after tying the knot. Another couple not faring well is Grace and Ashley, with the latter threatening to walk out of their wedding due to him cracking jokes at the altar. Tuesday night’s (September 23) edition of the programme saw a new couple walking down the aisle without meeting one another. Leah, a 35-year-old business owner from Liverpool, was paired with Leigh, a 30-year-old from Romford, by the show’s dating experts. Seeing Leigh walking down the aisle, Leah appeared delighted and noted her match was ‘definitely a bit of her’. Sadly, Leigh revealed to the cameras that she didn’t feel the same way, saying: “She’s absolutely stunning, but I’m not sure if she does have a masculine side, so am I going to fancy her? And in this moment I don’t feel like I do, s***… “Leah does come across really feminine so I wanna get to know if she does have a masculine side to find that physical attraction, but I’m worried that that won’t come.” One awkward moment during the ceremony arrived when Leah was given a rose quartz, which she referred to as a ‘stone’ to an unimpressed Leigh. Things got even more awkward when the wedding officiant said they could kiss, which led Leigh to offer her cheek and Leah to question if she ‘fancies’ her. After the ceremony, Leigh snapped at the photographer when he asked if they wanted to have a kiss for the photo, pointing out she was already asked that during the ceremony. Having already brought up to Leah that she thinks it’s important for them to spend time on their own, Leigh later asked if they could spend their wedding night apart. Wheeling her bag out of their room, Leah said: “I respect her boundaries, but I think if it continued throughout the process I’d be like, ‘Right I’m gone’.” Those watching the episode at home rushed to X, previously known as Twitter , to have their say on Leigh asking to spend the wedding night in separate rooms. @emilyroseon said: “First night after their wedding and Leigh kicks Leah out of the door and into another room and has the audacity to ask if she wants help with her suitcase!!!!! #MAFSUK.” @vamplacey added: “Why is Leigh kicking Leah out of the honeymoon suite? Those 2 definitely are going to break up #MAFSUK.” @thefmetzger wrote: “I’m here for Leigh and Leah and their passive aggressive hate for each other. “I’ll see you out” said with such joy! #MAFSUK.” @Reeceyboy2591 posted: “Sorry why does Leah have to leave, it’s Leigh who wants to sleep separately #MAFSUK.” @GuncleBissh noted: “Leigh and Leah, that’s awkward. #MAFSUK.” @talkxnonsense commented: “Omg leigh asking leah to go to another room then saying to her ‘ill see you out’ id be fuming too #MAFSUK.”
