An up-and-coming wrestler on NXT, Nyx had gained popularity as a member of Fatal Influence alongside Fallon Henley and current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.
However, fans were caught off guard when Nyx was shown unconscious backstage on this week’s episode of NXT and removed from the Fatal Influence stable.
It turns out this was done because Nyx had made the decision not to renew her contract and will instead explore other opportunities outside of WWE.
Now, Nyx herself has spoken out over her decision.
Jazmyn Nyx, real name Jade Gentile, recently took to TikTok to explain why she made the personal decision to step away from WWE.
“As you know, there have been things circulating and I want to just set the record straight,” Gentile said. “I’m not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and my future. Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years wasn’t going to cut it for me financially, and that’s okay. I kinda just wanted to give a backstory to everything.”
Gentile went on to explain her journey from playing professional soccer in Iceland to becoming a WWE Superstar, noting that she had suffered a plethora of injuries along the way and had to turn down “a lot of opportunities” during her time at NXT.

Still, this didn’t mean that Gentile wasn’t appreciative of all the love and support she received from the fans.
“I love my Jazmyn Nyx fans and thank you so much for supporting me and having my back for the past three years,” Gentile said. “It’s been an amazing journey and I will miss you guys.
“And yeah! That is it for Jazmyn Nyx, so thank you guys for watching and I love you guys so, so much.”
Countless fans in the comments of her video thanked Gentile for her time in the company, noting that Fatal Influence will never be the same.
