The top team in the country looks to start off its conference schedule on the right foot, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers play host to the Michigan Wolverines in their Big Ten opener on Wednesday night.
The Cornhuskers continue to be the hottest ticket in women’s collegiate sports. Despite coming up short in the national semifinals (again) last season, Nebraska has come out of the gate strong this season, winning each of its first 10 matches, staking the team’s claim as one of the best in the country.

The Huskers have defeated some of the best teams in the country as well, taking down nationally-ranked opponents in Pittsburgh, Stanford, Kentucky, Utah and Creighton.
They go up against a Michigan team that has bounced back admirably since losing to Virginia earlier this month. The Wolverines have reeled off four straight wins, including a revenge victory over the Cavaliers on the road. The maize and blue are looking to build off two convincing wins against Notre Dame this past weekend.
Nebraska is 24-3 against Michigan, with the Wolverines last beating the Cornhuskers in October 2014.
