Bret Michaels stops by Central Pa. business during Wiffle ball match

He talked potatoes to them.
An iconic rocker from central Pennsylvania sat down with a local business during a Wiffle ball championship the other day.
According to a Facebook post published by founder and president Allen Peck Jr. on Wednesday, Potato Coop — a Harrisburg-based fast casual restaurant that began as a single food truck — got the opportunity to serve lunch to none other than Bret Michaels thanks to a family member’s connection.
“Uncle Billy has been best friends with Bret Michaels since they were kids growing up in Mechanicsburg, PA,” the post reads. “Today, during their championship Wiffle ball game, Uncle Billy pulled off a surprise for the crew and had us bring the Potato Coop out for lunch.
“It turned into one of those unforgettable experiences. Cooking for Bret and getting the chance to sit down and talk with him. He shared advice about chasing dreams, being passionate, and going the extra mile with your supporters.”
“How cool!” reads a comment. “Love [that] Bret visits his roots!”
“Awesome!” simply states another.
According to its website, Potato Coop was formed by the Duncannon native in 2013. While the Coop specializes in fries, its men also includes a burger, a cheesesteak, and a bunch of loaded potatoes.
“Potato Coop started in 2013 out of a small-town dream — to build something that creates opportunities not just for me, but for my family, my community, and people who believe in chasing something bigger,” the post continues.“Moments like today remind me that this is more than food.
“It’s people, it’s connection, it’s story. I’m humbled, inspired, and grateful. Thanks for a day I’ll never forget!”
