Robert Irwin has been delivering must-see performances so far on Season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” with dance partner Witney Carson. But does the wildlife conservationist have a romantic partner outside of the ballroom?
As the 21-year-old continues to light up the dance floor with his impressive moves, some fans have become interested in his love life and wondered about his relationship status. Well, Robert Irwin decided to set the record straight when he spoke to E! News following the Sept. 23 episode of the dancing competition show.
He confirmed in the interview that he is single, according to the news outlet, before revealing what he is looking for in a relationship.
“I think more than anything else just genuine kindness,” Robert Irwin shared. “That’s so important, to surround yourself with people who are genuinely kind.”
He also said he wants to meet someone who can keep up with his adventurous lifestyle given his work as a conservationist and his ties to the Australia Zoo.
Robert Irwin added, “My life is a whirlwind, it’s an adventure. I would love to be able to share that with someone and to share those little moments.”
“I have a lot of great role models in the love department and a lot of people I look up to and go, ‘Wow, couples goals.’ So I want to find that,” he continued.
The “DWTS” contestant said he knows that he’ll find his perfect match when the time is right.
“It’s something you kind of can’t rush. It just has to happen and you’ve got to be open to that,” he said. “I know she’s out there and I look forward to it.”
Carson, who also chatted with E! News, said that she and Robert Irwin’s older sister, Bindi Irwin, are helping him out with his love life.
“Submit your applications via DM and I will forward them to Bindi. And then, then we will see about the American tourist,” she joked.
Robert Irwin replied, “I’ve got another protective older sister now.”
He is close to his real big sister, Bindi Irwin, who previously competed on and won “DWTS” Season 21 in 2015 with partner Derek Hough. So far this season, Bindi Irwin has been spotted in the ballroom cheering on her younger brother.
She has also been filming some of his rehearsals behind the scenes, including one with her adorable 4-year-old daughter Grace. Robert Irwin uploaded a video to Instagram that showed him practicing his dance moves with his niece.
After the two started giggling and jumping in a circle, Grace sweetly asked, “Did I do it?”
Robert Irwin proudly responded, “You did it! That’s it!”
