Govee is offering the first savings on its new Curtain Lights Pro at $179.99 shipped, beating out the first savings we’re seeing at Amazon by $10, though Amazon is offering bigger discounts on the previous-generation models, which start from $109.99 shipped. The newer generation model will fetch $200 at full price once the savings close out, with this being the very first chance to cut a little off the tag – just in time for folks shopping for new additions to their Halloween displays. These new Govee Curtain Lights Pro are the latest third-generation model that sports a higher density of LED lights (960 here as opposed to the previous-gen’s 520) for sharper and smoother animations, as well as faster refresh rates and more vibrant color blending. Not only that, but it features an upgraded mounting system for easier placement/installation, as well as greater support for larger animated GIF files, with an AI chatbot available for scene generations through its in-app controls. It also brings the new functionality to allow for up to three sets to be spliced together for larger displays (and also gaining 50+ exclusive scene modes), which the previous models could not do.
There’s the Matter support that I’m sure you expect, as the brand has been including it in all its newest releases, streamlining your controls, which is especially handy for setting up holiday displays. You’ll get an increased 250+ preset scene modes here, with over 16 million DIY color combinations too.
Of course, if you want to save money and don’t mind losing the splicing functionality and increased scene mode options, Govee’s Curtain Lights 2 are still a quite capable addition to displays starting from $109.99 shipped. Ranging from 4.9 to 14.8-foot sizes, you’ll still have Matter support here, with a reduced 200+ preset scene modes, and much of the same general functionality from there.
