The MCU’s Marvel Zombies Is Out Now

The MCU's Marvel Zombies Is Out Now

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s new TV show has arrived on Disney+, delving deeper into a familiar TV-MA universe. The MCU’s Multiverse Saga has included quite a few series on the streaming service, with Marvel experimenting with different formats as the franchise grows. Some of the best MCU TV shows come in live-action form, with others in animation.
Marvel’s upcoming projects will see the end of the Multiverse Saga in 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars. Due to that, any universes the MCU decides to explore before the multiverse likely stops being utilized or so heavily focused on have to be celebrated. That happens to be the case for the MCU’s latest series, which is an animated project that unites heroes from all over.
Marvel’s New Show Is Available Now On Disney+
The MCU’s new TV show is Marvel Zombies, which became available on Disney+ today, September 24. Marvel Zombies holds a 75% Rotten Tomatoes score at the time of writing. The Marvel series expands on the What If… Zombies?! episode of the first season of What If…? That episode’s ending saw Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Ant-Man travel to Wakanda, where they would be met by zombie Thanos.
Unlike the original series, Marvel Zombies is rated TV-MA, which allows for more bloody action to take place. The series adds to Marvel’s TV show output for the year, with a wide range of different genres explored by the MCU in the medium in 2025. Marvel Zombies is the MCU’s third animated series of the year, following Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Eyes of Wakanda.
Why Marvel Zombies Is Worth Watching
There are many reasons that make Marvel Zombies worth watching for MCU fans, with returning Marvel stars being one of them. The series does something the Multiverse Saga has been criticized for lacking, which is putting recently introduced heroes together and showing how much chemistry they can have. The 4-part series feels like an Avengers movie in scope, set to a zombie apocalypse backdrop.
Several MCU stars return to voice their characters in Marvel Zombies, including fan-favorite names like Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch, and many more. Even characters who are recast for the show, such as Chris Hemsworth not returning as Thor or Tom Holland not voicing Spider-Man, are exciting, with key roles.
