A young Indian man recently moved to Dubai and decided to explore the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. He was amazed to witness a Ganga Aarti ceremony there, a ritual he usually associates with India.
Sharing his experience in a video, he expressed joy at seeing so many fellow Indians in the temple and feeling a strong spiritual connection. He mentioned that just three weeks after arriving in the UAE, this visit became a memorable part of his journey. The temple, known for hosting Indian celebrities, impressed him deeply.
First visit to BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi
In the video, the man shared, “I witnessed Ganga Aarti in UAE.” He explained that he moved to the UAE at 24 to start a new chapter in life. After spending two weeks in a hotel, he finally settled into his new home. With a free day, he visited the famous BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.

The temple’s peaceful atmosphere made him feel like he was back in India. He observed devotees performing aarti near a water body and expressed that he felt a strong spiritual vibe. “This was completely an unexpected experience for me,” he said, describing the aarti as super positive and uplifting.
Inside the temple, photography wasn’t allowed, but he managed to capture moments outside. He felt fortunate to perform darshan and experience the aarti ceremony in a foreign land. After the spiritual ceremony, he enjoyed dinner and spent time roaming around the temple premises.
About the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi
The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14, 2025. It is the first Hindu temple in the capital and is built on a 27-acre site near the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. The UAE government generously donated the land for this temple, symbolising cultural harmony.
Rules for visitors
To ensure a respectful and safe environment, the temple has specific rules. Visitors must wear modest clothing that covers the body from the neck to the ankles. Tight-fitting clothes, flashy accessories, or attire with political messages are not allowed. Items like pets, food, drones, alcohol, firearms, and umbrellas are also prohibited.
Photography is allowed only for personal use and not for commercial purposes, ensuring the sanctity of the place.
This visit became a special memory for the young man as it connected him to his roots and added a spiritual touch to his new life in the UAE.
