CBSE Datesheet 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the tentative datesheet for the classes 10 and 12 board exams 2026. The exams will begin on February 17. The class 10 exams will conclude on March 9 while the class 12 exams will end on April 9, 2026. Students must note that Class 10 will have two board exams. The second set of exams will begin on May 15 and conclude on June 1, 2026.
The secondary school exams or class 10 will commence with Mathematics Standard and Basic exams. The exams will be held on February 17 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The class 10th exams will end with the languages and music exams. While the class 12 or senior school exam will begin with Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship and Shorthand (English and Hindi) on February 17 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and will conclude with Sanskrit, Data Science and Multimedia.
“In 2026, approximately 45 lakh candidates are expected to appear in 204 subjects across class 10 and 12 from India and 26 countries abroad,” states the official notice. It further added that the current datesheet is tentative in nature and the final schedule will be announced upon submission of the final list of candidates by the schools.

The CBSE Class 10 and 12 results for 2025 were announced on May 13. The Class 12 results saw an overall pass rate of 88.39 per cent, with girls achieving a pass rate of 91.25 per cent, while 85.31 per cent of boys passed. In Class 10, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.66 per cent, with girls outperforming boys by scoring 95 per cent, while boys had a pass rate of 92.63 per cent. Trivandrum was best-performing region in class 10 exam and Vijaywada secured the top rank in class 12 results. More than 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board examinations, which were conducted from February 15 to April 4, 2025. The Class 10 exams concluded on March 18, while the Class 12 exams ended on April 4.
