Former Ohio State football captain set to coach against his alma mater: Buckeye Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nearly 35 years since he last played for Ohio State football, Scottie Graham is looking to defeat his alma mater.
Graham, a former three-year starter and captain for the Buckeyes, is in his second season coaching running backs at Washington.
On Saturday, his Huskies will open Big Ten play against the Buckeyes.
“Saturday is a momentous occasion! We play our first Big10 game of the season against the The Ohio State University! I’ll be coaching against my alma mater, where I earned 2 degrees,” Graham shared via X. “My wife and I graduated in ‘91 & both her parents graduated in the 50s. It will be a great day.”

Graham rushed for 1,704 yards on 342 attempts while at Ohio State (1988-91). He scored 19 rushing touchdowns across his career, including 10 as a sophomore.
Graham was taken by the Steelers in the seventh round of the 1992 NFL Draft. His professional career spanned over six seasons with the Jets, Vikings and Bengals.
In 2021, he joined Jedd Fisch’s staff at Arizona to coach running backs. He followed Fisch to Washington ahead of the 2024 season.

Aaron Hurge, a midfielder for Ohio State men’s soccer, was named the freshman of the week by the Big Ten on Tuesday.
The recognition came after an impressive showing at Michigan State. Hurge scored his first career goal and added an assist in a 3-2 victory.
Ohio State, after making it to the 2024 College Cup semifinals, is off to a 4-3 start this season.
