Apple has officially pulled the curtain off its iPhone 17 series at the highly anticipated ‘Awe Dropping’ event on Tuesday. Alongside the standard iPhone 17 and the brand-new iPhone 17 Air, the spotlight was firmly on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The new iPhone brings a host of exciting upgrades over last year’s iPhone 16 series, including a tougher design, better performance, significant camera improvements and a larger battery. Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max: Specifications The iPhone 17 Pro Max features a lightweight aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminium body, a notable shift from the titanium frame used in previous Pro models. This change allows Apple to pack in a bigger battery, while the all-new Ceramic Shield 2 offers four times better scratch resistance than before. On the front, you’ll find a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the all-new A19 Pro chip, which boasts a 6-core CPU, 6-core GPU with integrated Neural Accelerators, and a 16-core Neural Engine designed to handle advanced AI tasks. The device comes with two battery configurations, 4,832mAh for the Nano SIM variant and 5,088mAh for the eSIM-only model. Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max: Camera Upgrades The iPhone 17 Pro Max offers a 48-megapixel Fusion triple-camera system. The highlight is a new 48-megapixel telephoto lens, paired with a 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 48-megapixel primary camera. With optical-quality zoom up to 8x, this is the longest zoom ever on an iPhone. For selfies and FaceTime calls, there’s an 18-megapixel front camera. Apple has also introduced a 2TB storage option this year, with all models starting at a base 256GB variant. Here’s a look at the starting prices: India: Rs 1,49,900 USA: $1,199 Dubai (UAE): AED 5,099 Japan: JPY 194,800 UK: GBP 1,199 Pre-Orders and Availability Pre-orders open on Friday, September 12, at 5:30 PM IST in India and over 60 other countries, including the U.S., U.K., Japan, and the UAE. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will start shipping on September 19 in initial markets. By September 26, Apple will expand availability to 22 additional regions.
