‘God please help, I’m loosing my mind again’ — Omah Lay cries out

Omah Lay, the
Nigerian singer, has shared cryptic posts on social media, hinting at his
struggle with depression.

In a series
of post via Snapchat on Monday, the ‘Soso’ hitmaker expressed his
frustration, lashing out at contracts, record labels, and the music business.

He added that even his younger self and “everything” were
not spared from his outburst.

“F*ck contracts, f*ck labels, f*ck the music business, f*ck
my younger self, f*ck f*ck f*ck everything, f*ck,” the post reads.

Omah Lay admitted to a personal struggle, saying he is
“losing my mind again”. He also pleaded for divine intervention.

“God please help I’m loosing my mind again,” he added.

He was also captured in a smoke-filled setting, declaring
that “life is good, God is greater than me”.

The post has stirred widespread concern on social media
about the singer’s mental health, with some users suggesting it could be a
publicity stunt for his upcoming album, given his reputation for intense,
depression-themed music.

In 2022, Omah Lay revealed how he battled with depression while
recording ‘Boy Alone’, his debut album.

In June 2025, his manager Muyiwa Awoniyi also announced the end of his
professional relationship with the singer.

Born Stanley Omah Didia, Omah Lay started his music career
at the age of 15.

He got shot into the limelight in 2020 following the release
of his two hit singles ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence’.

The singer has continued to make a name for himself in the
Nigerian music industry, especially with his unique music style.
