TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian Ministry of Industry has confirmed that American technology giant Apple has submitted applications for the Domestic Component Level Certificate (TKDN) for four models of the iPhone 17 series.”Four applications have been registered, and a commitment has been made with a supervisory value entered,” said Heru Kustanto, Head of the Domestic Product Improvement Center at the Ministry of Industry, on Thursday, September 11, 2025.Heru stated he would review the certification documents on Thursday night. If the application is deemed compliant, Heru guarantees that the TKDN certificate for the iPhone 17 will be issued that same evening. After obtaining the TKDN certificate, Heru explained that Apple must secure a distribution permit in the form of a postal certificate.According to Heru, the process for a postal certificate typically takes the longest, around two weeks. “It should be completed by early October, God willing,” he added. What’s New with the iPhone 17?The iPhone 17 series is rumored to have a number of improvements over the iPhone 16.
