How’s this for an introduction to “Survivor” 49? Jeff Probst has teased that two of the 18 castaways will be going back-to-back, their gameplay making such an impression that they’ve now been fast-tracked into the upcoming all-legends season, featuring Mike White of “The White Lotus” and “School of Rock” fame. His biggest inspiration is John Cena, because of how the WWE superstar and Hollywood actor continually defies the odds — and no, we don’t think he’s kidding.
Three players that demand attention are financial crime consultant Nicole Mazullo, rocket scientist Steven Ramm and political communications director Alex Moore, who we suspect might struggle to establish too many alliances.

“Survivor” 49 premieres with a two-hour special on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, September 24. Subsequent episodes will be 90 minutes long, and air at the same time each Wednesday.
CBS is a local broadcast network that can accessed with one of the best TV antennas or through a cable TV package.
If you’ve already cut the cord and don’t have cable, you can watch CBS on a live TV service, like Fubo, Hulu With Live TV, YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream.
Alternatively, you can watch your local CBS station’s live feed with a Paramount Plus with Showtime subscription, costing $12.99/month or $119.99/year.
The cheaper $7.99/month or $59.99/year Essentials plan lets you stream episodes a day after they air.
Fubo is one of the best live TV services with CBS. The streamer carries all of the local broadcast networks and most of the top cable channels. Who needs cable? Not Fubo subscribers. And it’s got a 7-day free trial so you don’t need to pay upfront.
How to watch ‘Survivor’ 49 in Canada

In Canada, “Survivor” 47 airs on Global TV at 8 p.m. ET/PT every Wednesday, starting September 24.
The network also has an online streaming platform, which lets you watch some shows the day after they air, with no need to log in for the first seven days.
Alternatively, you can stream “Survivor” via the STACKTV add-on with Prime Video, which grants access to programming from Global Television, the Disney Channel, National Geographic, Showcase, W Network and Adult Swim.
A Prime membership costs CA$9.99 each month, and a Stack TV subscription costs CA$12.99 on top, but both services offer a free trial to new users.
