Shatta Wale has courted attention online with his new luxury car purchase, which comes a month after he lost his 2019 Lamborghini Urus.
On September 10, the Ghanaian shared a video of his new purchase, a Mercedes-Benz AMG SL Roadster, on TikTok for the first time. The yellow Roadster was comfortably parked in a brightly lit garage.
The current price of a Mercedes-Benz AMG SL starts at around $140k, with the latest model, AMG SL 63 S E Performance, selling for $207k.
Expressing his joy, Shatta Wale accompanied his announcement with the caption “Another Yellow for me.”
For many of Shatta Wale’s hardcore fans, his latest luxury car felt like a surreal moment considering his brush with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), which led to the confiscation of his yellow Lamborghini Urus in May 2025.
The new Mercedes is Shatta Wale’s second luxury acquisition in just under a month. The Street Crown hitmaker coppped a purple Lamborghini just a few days after his woes with EOCO began.
Why did EOCO seize Shatta Wale’s car?
On August 20, the EOCO detained Shatta Wale following an investigation into his purchase of a yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus.
Before he was detained, EOCO confiscated Shatta Wale’s 2019 Lamborghini Urus, which has been linked to an FBI case in which Shatta Wale and a former officer of the National Signals Bureau are persons of interest.
A release by the security agency noted that the musician’s detention was in connection with several criminal investigations, with detectives probing his alleged involvement in money laundering and tax evasion.
An upheaval erupted at EOCO’s headquarters in Accra as fans stormed the security premises in their numbers, demanding Shatta Wale’s immediate release.
The musician was granted bail in the sum of GH₵ 10 million with two sureties, later reduced to GH₵ 5 million. He met his bail conditions and gained his freedom on Thursday, August 21.

Stonebwoy mocks Shatta Wale’s EOCO issue
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Stonebwoy reacted to Shatta Wale’s saga with EOCO.
On Facebook, Stonebwoy shared a series of posts after the news of the EOCO raiding Shatta Wale’s Trassaco mansion popped up.
Stonebwoy, a sworn rival of the dancehall musician, pulled a similar stunt when Shatta Wale purchased his Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The Jejereje hit-maker, in his remarks about Shatta Wale’s luxurious lifestyle, alluded to his riches and properties not being legitimate.
