Logitech Introduces New Zone Headsets To Help Workers Escape The Distraction Trap

Downsides of returning to office life include noise and interruptions which can make concentrating difficult. Logitech Zone headsets have ANC for canceling unwanted noise and signalling to colleagues that you are busy and not to be disturbed.

Computer peripherals giant Logitech has announced two brand-new headsets designed for workers returning to noisy offices. The Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 headsets were developd to coincide with the drift back to the office. Many of us have grown used to working from home, where it can often be very quiet. Now that more of us are returning to a busy office, concentrating can be a problem.

While open-plan offices are great for collaborating on projects and catching up on corporate gossip, the free-flowing face-to-face interaction can often mean you’re plagued by non-stop distractions. Logitech cites a study published in the Economist that suggests distractions in the office can interfere with workers’ concentration and create a $468 billion black hole in productivity.

With AI-powered noise-canceling microphoness and hybrid active noise cancellation that can automatically adjust to minimize background noise, office distractions needn’t be a problem. These latest headsets have a gaming-inspired head-strap design, so they can be worn comfortably throughout the day and will signal to colleagues that you’re focusing on work and not up for a chat.

Logitech produces wired and wireless version of its new Zone 2 headsets. Each model has a 270-degree noise canceling mic, long battery life, replaceable parts.

AI-Powered Microphones

“As more companies push for a return to the office, interruptions are a costly threat. But open offices don’t have to be a zero-sum game,” claims Prakash Arunkundrum, president of Logitech for Business. “Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 for Business are built for companies to reap the collaborative benefits of open-office plans without sacrificing employee focus.”

MORE FOR YOU

Both of the new Logitech headsets offer adaptive hybrid ANC that intelligently adjusts the amount of noise cancellation in real time, depending on the sound levels around the wearer. The ANC enables workers to move from space to space without manually having to adjust the amount of ANC needed.

The new headsets also feature two AI-powered noise-canceling microphones that work in tandem to tune out any distracting chatter and laughter from neighboring colleagues as well as their clacky keyboards, footsteps and the myriad diversions that can plague any modern workplace.

The Zone headsets are available in Graphite, Off White and Rose colors to inject individuality into office life.

Beyond Noise Cancellation

The Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES eliminates unwanted sounds and the everyday micro interruptions that can break concentration. Certified for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, the headset ensures full compatibility across all communication platforms.

For Teams and Meet, the native Bluetooth call control certification means the headset can be used with or without a Bluetooth dongle, which could free up a valuable USB port. If it is used with a dongle, smart enumeration hides the device from meeting apps when the headset is powered off, so users aren’t left guessing which audio source is actually active.

For organizations that prefer employees to use a wired headset, the Logitech Zone Wired 2 is a USB plug-and-play version of the headset that has all the same features and certifications as the wireless counterpart, but without the need to charge a battery or worry about connectivity in high-density environments.

When it comes to the backend of deploying lots of headsets in a corporate environment, IT professionals can remotely push silent firmware updates directly to the headsets by using Logitech’s Sync software. This enables employees to stay focused without interruption and they don’t need to raise a ticket when their headset signals it needs a firmware update.

IT departments will appreciate being able to locate the new Logitech Zone headsets and deploy them company wide as well as pushing out silent firmware updates to keep everything running smoothly.

All-Day Comfort And Performance

Inspired by gaming headsets engineered for lengthy gaming sessions, the physical design of the Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 headsets features a head-strap that provides even pressure distribution across the top of the head, making it suitable for long workdays.

Rotating ear cups, a reversible 270-degree microphone boom and an adjustable headband all make for a personalized fit. A fully charged battery on the Zone Wireless 2 ES can provide up to 20 hours of talk time and 25 hours of listening time with ANC turned on.

Employees can also personalize their experience with customizable audio settings, adaptive ANC and charging settings by using the Logi Tune software. Most business headsets come in the Henry Ford option of “any color as long as it’s black,” but the Zone headsets are available in a choice of three colors: Rose, Off-White and Graphite.

The Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 headset are designed with sustainability in mind as well as product longevity. The ear pads, headset strap and battery are all easily replaced. Plastic parts are made from a minimum of 30% post-consumer-recycled materials, while the magnets are made from 100% post-consumer recycled rare-earth metal. The battery is made with 100% recycled cobalt and the headset travel bag is constructed from 100% recycled plastic.
