The Woolworths seafood salad was sold in WA stores and online with the use-by markings 11.09.25, 12.09.25, 13.09.25, and 14.09.25.
The salad was recalled after a Listeria monocytogenes contamination – which may cause severe illness in pregnant women, unborn babies, elderly people and those with compromised immunities – was detected.
“The general population can also become ill from consuming food contaminated with Listeria monocytogene,” the recall read.
If someone becomes infected with listeria, they may contract listeriosis – a disease that can cause fever, muscle aches and pain, nausea, diarrhoea and fatigue.
Consumers have been urged to not eat the salad, and instead return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the recall read.
