Innovations and Advanced Technologies in S’hail Exhibition: A Global Space for Hunting Culture
Doha, September 11 (QNA) – The 9th edition of the Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition “S’hail 2025” continues to attract remarkable public turnout, as participating companies compete to present the latest innovations and equipment that meet the needs of hunting and falconry enthusiasts—blending the fragrance of authentic Qatari heritage with the most advanced global technologies.
Vice Chairman of the S’hail Supreme Committee, Abdul Latif bin Mohammed Al Misnad, stated that the 2025 edition marks a continuation of a distinguished journey launched years ago, aimed at strengthening and preserving a deep-rooted heritage and reviving authentic traditions ingrained in society, while simultaneously opening broad horizons for innovation and development.
Al Misnad emphasized that “S’hail” has become a prominent event among international specialized exhibitions, a global platform that gathers under one roof elite falconers, hunters, leading companies in hunting gear, and experts from around the world. He said: “The exhibition provides a unique space where tradition meets modernity, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to striking a balance between authenticity and progress”.
He pointed out that this year’s edition witnesses extensive international participation, including major companies from across continents, showcasing the latest technologies in falconry, hunting weapons, vehicle modifications, camping, outdoor supplies, and falcon breeding farms.
Al Misnad added: “This great diversity reflects the exhibition’s position as an important economic platform that opens new markets, stimulates healthy competition between local and global companies, and enhances global confidence in Qatar as a pioneering destination in this field.”
He stressed that “S’hail’s value goes beyond its economic and technological aspects, extending to cultural, tourism, and humanitarian dimensions.” The exhibition, he noted, fosters human connections, revives bonds of fraternity and friendship among peoples, and
highlights falconry as a global human heritage, registered on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
S’hail 2025 is seeing strong participation from major automotive companies, presenting specially modified models tailored for hunting and desert trips, suiting the needs of enthusiasts in rugged terrains. This reflects the growing role of Qatar’s car market in merging advanced technology with Qatari heritage represented in hunting and falconry.
Marketing Director at Al-Tayseer Motors, Omar Munzer, told QNA that “our participation this year comes through our new brand GWM, which entered the Qatari market just a year ago, yet has quickly established a strong presence beyond expectations.”
Munzer explained that GWM vehicles have attracted great interest from Qatari customers for their advanced technologies, powerful off-road performance, and high-quality specifications that meet the aspirations of hunting and outdoor enthusiasts.
He added: “We prepared our pavilion this year as a complete experience for visitors, with special exterior and interior modifications for GWM cars, a traditional Qatari majlis setting that immerses guests in the spirit of falconry and hunting, and a short desert film combining modified cars and falcons—symbolizing the meeting of Qatari heritage and modern technology.”
The exhibition is witnessing wide interest from hunting enthusiasts in the latest firearms, optics, and advanced hunting gear, as global companies compete to showcase weapons integrated with artificial intelligence in targeting and vision.
Director of Sniper Weapons & Optics, Mohammed Sultan Al Ali expressed his delight that their pavilion has been bustling with visitors since day one. A wide range of rifles and new weapons received extraordinary attention from hunting lovers.
Al Ali said: “For the first time in Qatar, we are presenting shotgun brands such as Benelli, Breda, and Beretta, along with advanced CZ sniper rifles and rare Elysian pistols—limited to only 99 pieces worldwide. We also showcase the latest air rifles from leading brands such as Britain’s Daystate, Brocock, and Sweden’s FX, which are in high demand among hobbyists.”
He added: “Sniper also brought in exclusive new releases from major international companies, displayed in Qatar for the first time. We are official agents for four leading air rifle brands in Qatar, giving customers access to the latest innovations globally.
