Gun Lake Casino Resort names new VP of marketing

WAYLAND, MI — Gun Lake Casino Resort has named Rob Victoria as its new vice president of marketing.
Victoria, who previously served as director of marketing at Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort in Hogansburg, New York, has worked in the gaming industry for 33 years, and has held leadership positions at several gaming companies, according to a release.
“We are thrilled to have Rob Victoria head our marketing efforts at such an exciting time as we have evolved into a Four Diamond-level casino resort,” said Brian Decorah, senior vice president and general manager of Gun Lake Casino Resort. “We are very excited to have Rob, and the marketing team promote our luxurious hotel and Oasis, boasting 80-degree comfort with 4,000 live tropical plants, 3 swimming pools, palm trees, and live entertainment to wow our guests.”
Gun Lake Casino Resort, in Wayland, opened a new 252-room, 16-story hotel in March. It was followed, later in the spring, by the Wawye Oasis, a large-scale glass atrium that features two pools, private cabanas, lush tropical flora, and live palm trees. Together, the two projects cost an estimated $300 million.
According to a release, Victoria started his career at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
Since then, he’s held positions at a host of gaming industry companies, including Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut, Seneca Gaming Corporation, Resorts World, Rivers Gaming, and Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, a release states.
Victoria, a military veteran, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island, according to his LinkedIn page.
