Dominick Reyes Eyes Jiri Prochazka Rematch at UFC White House Event

Former title challenger Dominick Reyes has his eyes on redemption and the perfect stage to achieve it. As he prepares to face Carlos Ulberg in the main event of UFC Fight Night 260 this Saturday in Perth, Australia, Reyes says his dream scenario is a rematch with Jiri Prochazka on the historic UFC White House card in June 2026.
Reyes’ White House Dream
Reyes (15-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) reflected on the opportunity during fight week interviews, laying out a sequence of events that could put him in position to settle old business.
“I’m having my son in December, so best case Alex Pereira wins, he’s a good friend of mine, I want him to win, and then they rematch with Jiri and Jiri wins, and then I rematch Jiri at the White House,” Reyes told MMA Junkie. “USA baby, let’s go. I’m a big patriot. That would be a dream come true.”
Prochazka (31-5-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) famously knocked out Reyes in May 2021 with a spinning back elbow, a highlight-reel finish that remains one of the most spectacular in UFC history. For Reyes, avenging that loss would mean more than any other matchup on the table.
Focus on the Present
Before he can think about Washington, D.C., Reyes must first get past Ulberg (12-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC), a rising contender who has been building momentum in the light heavyweight division. Reyes enters the bout on a resurgence of his own, having rebounded from a four-fight skid to put himself back in the title conversation.
Still, the Prochazka rematch stands out in his mind.
“The rematch with Jiri, that’s the fight,” Reyes said. “I don’t really want to fight Alex because he’s my friend. I’ll fight him, but I don’t really want to. Ankalaev, I’ll fight the guy, whatever. Same with Khalil; it’s like whatever. I have no history, or I want to get that back kind of deal. The Jiri fight was a great fight while it lasted. I think we do it again, it will be another amazing fight, and I’ve got nothing but respect for Jiri.”
The Stakes Ahead
The outcome of UFC 260, combined with the Ankalaev vs. Pereira title-fight rematch and Prochazka vs. Rountree at UFC 320 on Oct. 4, could shape Reyes’ path toward his dream fight.
For now, though, Reyes insists his focus is on Ulberg with the vision of standing in front of the White House in red, white, and blue just motivation for what could come next.
