Sarah Hyland Delights Fans With Surprise ‘Modern Family’ Reunion

Sarah Hyland delighted fans when she reunited with her Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson to see his performance in William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as part of the Shakespeare in the Park series in New York City.
“I love Shakespeare & @jessetyler,” Hyland, 34, wrote alongside two photos from their reunion via Instagram on Tuesday, September 23. “Twelfth Night was an absolute dream at the Delacorte.”
The first photo showed Hyland and Ferguson, 49, cuddling up as they looked at the camera, while the second snapshot showed her leaning forward to whisper something in his ear.
Shortly after Hyland shared the photo, several fans rushed to the comments section to gush about the reunion. “JESSE AND SARAH OMG,” one person wrote, while another chimed in, “AWWWW.”
“This is so cute,” a third social media user commented, and another said, “I can see how much you love this man ! And he loves you too ! It’s wonderful to have friends like this!”
Meanwhile, others said they were happy to see Hyland and Ferguson remained in each other’s lives after Modern Family ended in 2020. “Love to see how close u guys are after all these years,” an additional person wrote.
Hyland starred on the beloved sitcom as Haley Dunphy, while Ferguson portrayed her uncle Mitchell Pritchett. Modern Family ran on ABC for 11 seasons, with both Hyland and Ferguson starring on the show for its whole run time.

There’s no denying that Hyland loved her time on Modern Family, and she recently spoke to Parade in an exclusive interview about the props she still has from the show. “I have a couple things from the Dunphy house in my home, yes,” she said in the interview published on Monday, September 22. “They’re just priceless items. I’m sure they’re very cheap things, but they allowed me to take them. I did ask permission… because I’m weird!”
She continued, “I think people were just taking things, and I was like, ‘May I please have this, this and this?’ And they’re like, ‘You can have this, this and that!’ But they’re just priceless items to me. It’s really nice to be able to have them in the home.”
