If there’s one shoe that’s cemented itself in everyone’s rotation over the past few years, it’s the Adidas Samba. Walk down Fifth Avenue and you’ll spot stylish New Yorkers crossing the street in them (hopefully they’re looking both ways). Breeze through TSA and you’ll see pairs neatly stacked in airport security bins. We can’t escape them — and we don’t want to.

Initially released in the 1940s, the silhouette has found new life as the sneaker of the moment, thanks to A-listers like Olivia Rodrigo and Zoë Kravitz (arm in arm with Harry Styles, might I add) being photographed in them.

If you’re already a Samba loyalist, you’re in good company. And if you’ve never slipped into a pair, fair warning: once you do, you may never look back. And now’s the perfect time, because Adidas just unveiled new exclusive colorways that you’ll want to add to your cart immediately. The latest drop features bold animal prints, muted browns for fall, and rich emerald tones, which are all conveniently the “it” color of the season.

In just a few weeks, you can expect to see similar hues popping up on bags, jackets, and sweaters. By scoring these Sambas now, you’ll stay one step ahead of the fashion curve before everyone else catches on and they inevitably sell out, like so many of the brand’s past releases.

Colorways aside, the DNA remains unchanged. Sambas are comfortable, versatile enough for both city strolls and nights out, and durable enough to last beyond a single season. (Case in point: a few of our Rolling Stone editors have been wearing the same pair since the early 2000s.)

Prices for the updated styles start at around $100, which provides a competitive edge over other similar trainers that typically retail for upwards of $150. Personally, I’m partial to the cow-print pair; it’s just enough of a statement without veering into “Big Green Tractor” territory, adding interest to any outfit without looking like a basic uniform. But truthfully, Sambas have never really had that problem.

The new collection may just be one of Adidas’ strongest drops yet: precisely aligned with current trends, but still true to the classic vibe that made the Samba a cult and customer favorite.

America runs on many things: Dunkin’, X memes, and now, apparently, Sambas. Shop the collection before it’s gone.
