Kanoa holds off Paire as Pagarao scores twice

KANOA Football Club bagged their second straight win on Sunday, outlasting Paire Football Club 2-1 to take over the leaderboard in the A Division of the Dove Women’s League Fall 2025 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

Paire started strong, applying defensive pressure to control most of the early possessions. Their trial-and-error approach eventually paid off in the first half when Jannah Casarino found the back of the net in the 23rd minute to give PFC a 1-0 lead.

The goal sparked an energetic response from Kanoa, who pressed forward in search of an equalizer. Despite PFC maintaining control for much of the first half, KNFC’s persistence paid off in the 44th minute as standout striker Lalaine Pagarao leveled the score at 1-1, shifting the momentum and setting the stage for a tense second half.

Both teams battled fiercely for midfield control after the break, but KNFC’s relentlessness proved decisive. In the 62nd minute, Pagarao struck again to give Kanoa a 2-1 lead.

With time running out, PFC could not recover and had to accept defeat.

In other action, MP United Football Club earned their first win of the season, defeating Latte Football Club 4-0. Rosie Saralu (11’), Gina Duenas (22’), Jahsmin Ramon (41’), and Christina Atalig (68’) provided the goals.
