Day of social justice was marked in Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi to commemorate the birth anniversary of Periyar by the district administration on Wednesday.

In Thoothukudi, the day was marked by the administration of pledge by Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Minister P. Geetha Jeevan along with Thoothukudi Collector K. Elambahavth and other officials.

Tirunelveli District Collector R. Sukumar administered the pledge to government staff at the collectorate.
