New GPs strengthen care at Botany Junction Medical

At Botany Junction Medical, we know patients value both expertise and a welcoming, personal touch.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce two new GPs who have joined our team together, bringing a blend of experience, specialist skills, and community connection that strengthens the care we can provide for local families.

Dr Derryn – local expertise with a holistic approach.

Having grown up in east Auckland, Dr Derryn’s journey has come full circle. With training at Auckland hospitals, plus diplomas in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Palliative Care, she offers a wide scope of knowledge to support patients of all ages.

She particularly enjoys palliative, women’s, and children’s health, while embracing the variety of general practice.

Dr Roimata – a passion for youth and women’s health.

Alongside Dr Derryn is a GP who brings an international perspective and cultural strength. Originally from Rarotonga, she trained at the University of Auckland and built her early career in Waikato.

Today, she balances clinical work with study toward a Master’s in Public Health, and has special interests in youth, women’s health, and managing long-term conditions such as diabetes.

Together, these two doctors offer complementary skills that broaden the support available for our patients.

Whether it’s newborn care, women’s health services, palliative support, or long-term condition management, patients can feel confident knowing their health is in safe and compassionate hands.

At Botany Junction Medical, our priority is always patient well-being, and with two new GPs who are not only highly qualified but also genuinely connected to the community, we’re proud to continue delivering care you can count on.
