A bride from Married At First Sight UK is barely recognisable in throwback photos taken well before her appearance on the show. The popular E4 reality programme returned earlier this month for its tenth series , featuring 18 new singletons ready to take the plunge and marry a total stranger. Several couples have already said their vows, with some already facing challenges due to a lack of “connection”. Some soon-to-be brides and grooms have faced criticism from viewers within minutes of their episodes airing . Sarah and Dean have been on the receiving end of backlash as Sarah remains sceptical about their match, feeling “no spark”, while Dean continues to express his feelings through song and rap. Tonight, more singles are gearing up to join the experiment, including bride Leah from Liverpool who is on the hunt for her perfect match. The now 35-year-old business owner is described as someone who “lives life to the fullest” and enjoys sports, travelling, and “doesn’t take herself too seriously.” After dating men on and off, Leah questioned why she never felt “butterflies” until her first kiss with a woman at the age of 25. Now, she’s hoping the experts can find her a woman who “wakes up with a smile on her face”, reports OK! As Leah makes her debut on the show, she looks stunning in a long-sleeved white gown and a short blonde bob. However, throwback photos on her social media reveal a very different look, making her almost unrecognisable. In a previous Instagram post, Leah shared a selfie showcasing her lengthy brunette locks swept up into a topknot. Looking naturally radiant, she captioned the snap: “@lunafallsfashion bikinis”, which appears to date back to 2017. Beyond sporting longer, darker hair, Leah has also dabbled with darker blonde hair, though previously kept at a length that cascaded beyond her shoulders – quite different from her current shorter style. Will romance blossom for Leah on Married At First Sight? Audiences will need to watch tonight’s episode (September 23) to discover the answer. A tantalising preview promises viewers another dose of explosive drama as Leah meets her potential bride for the first time. The narrator hints: “As two more brave singles enter the experiment, one of the brides has serious second thoughts.” In the sneak peek, Leah confesses: “I’m scared, but I’m definitely ready.” Yet following the initial encounter with her match, she’s later heard confiding to cameras: “I don’t know if she fancies me you know.” In conversation with Diva magazine , Leah, who describes herself as bisexual, revealed: “I feel like I connect a lot more on a deeper level with a woman.” MAFS UK continues tonight at 9pm on E4
