This year, the Bahamas AIDS Foundation is promising patrons a night in the city that never sleeps. The 29th Red Ribbon Ball will take guests on a journey through “New York, New York,” with the ballroom transformed into a vibrant homage to New York’s most celebrated sites. From Broadway’s bright lights to Central Park charm, the evening’s design, curated by Wildflowers Events & Occasions, will capture the essence of New York with mini recreations of some of its most iconic landmarks. Guests can expect to dine, dance, and celebrate surrounded by world-famous symbols of the Big Apple’s energy and resilience.
Arame Ford Strachan, President of the Bahamas AIDS Foundation, said the theme pays tribute to New York’s historic role in the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
“From early advocacy and groundbreaking research to bold public health initiatives, New York has been the leader in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and awareness,” Strachan shared.
More than an elegant evening of entertainment, the Red Ribbon Ball serves as a reminder that there are still people infected and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
In highlighting the significance of the annual event Strachan stated: “The Red Ribbon Ball is a lifeline. The funds we raise are critical to maintain our outreach programs, medication assistance, education and testing, counseling services, feeding programs, and our adolescent intervention initiative.”
Set for Saturday, November 8, 2025, patrons of the Ball will not only enjoy an unforgettable night of New York glitz and glam but will also have the chance to win fabulous prizes from luxury fragrances for him and her, to Samsonite luggage and a trip to Napa Valley, courtesy of John Bull and Commonwealth Brewery respectively.
Partnering with the Foundation to make the Ball possible are the John Bull Group of Companies; Wildflowers Events & Occasions; Zamar Group of Companies; Commonwealth Brewery Limited; and Atlantis, Paradise Island.
The goal this year is to raise $100K toward the Foundation’s continued work and outreach including needed maintenance on some of their facilities. Corporate donors to the cause include Lombard Odier; Bahamas Striping Group of Companies; Fidelity Bank; Commonwealth Bank; The Island Game; JS Johnson; Aliv; Corner Bank; and Scotiabank.
Guaranteed to be a spectacle to behold, individuals and companies alike are encouraged to secure their tickets and tables for the Red Ribbon Ball by calling 242-325-9326 or emailing info@bahamasaidsfoundation.org.
