Forget Sullivan and Potter: Richard Keys Urges West Ham to Sack Key Figure

Football presenter Richard Keys has laid into West Ham United vice-chair Karren Brady for her decision to appoint Graham Potter as manager at the London Stadium – stating that ‘The Apprentice’ star has made ‘one bad decision after another’ in her time in power in the capital.
Potter was appointed to the helm last January after the sacking of Spanish boss Julen Lopetegui, but despite winning on his Premier League debut against Fulham, the former Chelsea boss only managed a further four wins in the league, with two of those coming against eventual-relegated clubs in Leicester City and Ipswich Town, marking six wins in 18 attempts.
Keys: Karren Brady ‘Has Made One Bad Decision After Another’ at West Ham
With a point to prove in the current campaign, it’s fair to say that the Hammers really haven’t progressed. Just one win, a shock 3-0 win away at European outfit Nottingham Forest, is the only reason why they don’t sit bottom of the Premier League table behind pointless outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Fans are protesting against Potter’s appointment, and with two tough away games to come at Everton and Arsenal, it could signal the end of his spell at the club. That form has Keys to label the gaffer’s time in the capital as ‘toast’, stating that he was never the man to lead West Ham forward – and that falls at Brady’s feet, with the former Sky Sports presenter claiming that he feels ‘sorry’ for their fans. He wrote in his blog:
“It looks like Graham Potter is toast. Is anyone surprised? Regular readers of this blog won’t be. He was never the man for West Ham. He’s not a big club manager.
“All that bluster from Karen Brady when they appointed him looks even more stupid now. She should go with him.
“She’s made one bad decision after another in her role with The Hammers – including delivering an athletics arena for them the play football in. I feel sorry for West Ham fans. Oh for the Moysey days eh?”
Should Wolves win one of their next two games and West Ham lose both of theirs, there is a real chance that the Hammers enter the second international break of the window bottom of the table.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Graham Potter has won just six of his 25 games in charge of West Ham.
With tough games to come before Christmas, it could well be that change is needed at managerial level before the climb becomes too big for the Hammers to tackle, potentially signalling the end of their now 14-year Premier League stay.
