WINNEBAGO, Neb. — A night of indigenous dining and entertainment will be on the menu when the Winnebago Health Foundation hosts an Evening of Culture at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at Country Celebrations, 5606 Hamilton Blvd.
A fundraiser for the “Food is Medicine” component of the Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System (WSHS), the event will include a silent auction of Native-focused arts, craft and services as well as food catered by the Native-owned business Warrior Palate.
Warrior Palate’s Chef Anthony Warrior is slated to prepare a unique menu with uniquely sourced ingredients that will reflect on Indigenous traditions in contemporary ways.
There will also be a performance by the Winnebago-based Many Moccasins Dance Troupe, which is an ensemble of professional Native American performers who utilize traditional Native American dance to entertain, educate and uplift audiences from around the world.
