The Valmiki Research Centre of the Sri Ramanarayanam Temple in Vizianagaram will host the first-ever legal conclave themed on the epic Ramayana on September 20. Temple trustee Narayanam Srinivas said: “Three judges from the AP High Court —Justice K. Lakshman, Justice T. Madhavi Devi, and Justice Surepalli Nanda will attend the conclave.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, Mr. Srinivas said: “The day-long conference will highlight the morals and ethics taught in Ramayana are similar to the core values of Indian Constitution. The conclave will discuss topics on governance, public administration, justice, morality, rights and other issues during Lord Rama’s rule and their relevance to present society. “
Valmiki Research Center of Ramanarayama temple director Hanumanthu Lajapathirai and Thavasmi Ramayana Academy director R. Srirama Chakradhar said that over five lakh advocates and legal professionals are expected to watch the proceedings via a live link provided by the temple authorities.
Academic coordinator of the Research Center Nithya Narayanam said that the Centre has secured affiliation with National Sanskrit University of Tirupati and will soon offer various courses. Thavasmi scholars A. Sarada Deepthi, K .Jahnavi Reddy were present.
