Cowboys' Jerry Jones Offers Huge Update on Jadeveon Clowney and DaRon Bland

The Dallas Cowboys have figured some things out on offense, but it is the defense that continues to take criticism. It is not hard to understand why, as the Cowboys have surrendered 92 points to their first three opponents.

Trading away Micah Parsons was something that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will have to live with, but the team has made some moves to ensure they brought in more pass-rush help. Former All-Pro defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was brought in, and is tracking towards finally making his Cowboys debut.

The other issue the Cowboys are facing is with the secondary, and the points that opposing offenses are putting up. A big reason for that is that Dallas has also been missing fellow All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland. Bland has been out due to a foot injury.

Now, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has offered huge updates on both players.

Jones spoke on 105.4 The Fan, where he revealed that Bland should be able to suit up against the Packers.

Jones also echoed the same sentiment for Clowney, who is expected to make his Cowboys debut against the Green Bay Packers.

Getting both Clowney and Bland in the lineup is sure to boost the Cowboys’ defense, and they will need it, considering they are facing the high-flying Packers. Even more so, the team will welcome back Parsons, who calls Green Bay his new home.

Regardless of how Jones comments on the game, this is a revenge showing for Parsons, and expect him to want to chase down Dak Prescott plenty. The Packers also have a wealth of offensive weapons, so the Cowboys’ defense needs to be on point to stop that.

Clowney has picked up 15 sacks in his last two seasons and has proven that he has plenty of gas in the tank. If he can return to proper form, the Cowboys will have a stalwart pass rusher to use.

Bland missed half of the 2024 season due to a stress fracture in his left foot, and he now has an injury on his right foot. Should he return to the field finally healthy, he will offer a huge boost to the Cowboys’ secondary.
