Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com.
In addition to the text of the obituary, any photographs that you wish to include can be attached to this email. Please put the text of the obituary in a Word document, a Google document or in the body of the email. The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that is in charge of the deceased’s care or a photo of his/her death certificate. We also request that your full name, phone number and address are all included in this email.
All payments by families must be made with a credit card. We will send a proof of the completed obituary before we require payment. The obituary cannot run, however, until we receive payment in full.
Obituaries can be submitted for any future date, but they must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to its running for it to be published.
Please call the obituary desk, at 610-371-5018, for information on pricing.
POTTSTOWN — Community Health & Dental Care and Montgomery County Community College joined together recently to host the grand opening celebration of the new CHDC Mobile Oral Health Unit.
The new mobile unit provides access to dental services at the college’s Pottstown Campus, 101 College Drive — offering full dental exams, cleanings, simple extractions, sealants, and X-rays on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We are very excited to have this opportunity to partner with Montgomery County Community College to deliver quality dental services for the students, faculty members and general community with easier access for all,” Bridgette McGivern, CEO of Community Health and Dental Care, said in a statement.
During the grand opening Sept. 9., Montgomery County Community College President Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez shared the combined vision for a healthier community and collaborative educational opportunities for students enrolled in its Dental Hygiene programs, according to a press release.
David Kraybill, board trustee of the college, expressed his support for the partnership and the “bright future ahead for the community members this will serve,” the release stated.
Appointments for the Mobile Oral Health Unit can be made by calling Community Health and Dental Care at 610-326-9460 ext. 106. Additional information can be found at ch-dc.org/mccc.
