Sanghis irritated as DMK doing well despite BJP causing issues: Udhayanidhi Stalin

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin accused the BJP of creating multiple issues to undermine the state government, claiming that the DMK administration continues to perform effectively despite opposition attempts. Speaking in Sathur, Udhayanidhi said, “BJP is trying to cause a lot of issues, deception and conspiracy but the DMK government is still performing well, causing trouble for Sanghis and their supporters. That is why they are raising news issues by touching funds rights, language rights and states rights.”.preferred-source-banner{ margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom:10px;}He added, “Through the National Education Policy they are trying to impose Hindi and Sanskrit. Through delimitation, they want to reduce the MP constituency from 39 to 32. Correction of voters’ names in the voters list and several such issues targeting Tamil Nadu are being caused by the Union BJP government. But our leader is handling all this with his left hand and that is irritating them more.”Udhayanidhi alleged that the BJP is frustrated because while it can influence other states easily, it is unable to make inroads in Tamil Nadu. “Our racial enemies are trying new things to destroy DMK somehow and capture Tamil Nadu. I want to tell the enemies that unless the last DMK cadre is there, you cannot set foot in Tamil Nadu,” he said.Turning to the Opposition, Udhayanidhi criticised the AIADMK, claiming the party is riddled with factions, unlike the DMK which has nearly 25 active wings including Youth, Women, Students, and Lawyers Wings. “Even in Sathur I heard that there are two Wings. Recently I said that, take for example DMK cadres from a district meet how they will meet and greet, talk about the leader, his statements and about their families. But if AIADMK cadres meet after a long time, they will not talk as they will be confused over who is in whose team, whether they should speak to the other person or not,” he added. The Deputy Chief Minister mentioned AIADMK leaders’ visits to Delhi, including sacked ex-minister Sengottaiyan’s trip to Haridwar and Palaniswami’s repeated travels. Udhayanidhi said, “While coming out, he got caught by the press and tried to cover his face. So while meeting the press, he asked if it was wrong to wipe his face. What kind of deal occurred for you to wipe your face? He went in a 15 crore worth car and if he was sweating inside the car, imagine what the talks would have been about. Like a comedy in a Vadivelu movie, I think a bakery deal has occurred.”Udhayanidhi went on to describe Palaniswami’s campaign activities and behaviour, alleging mismanagement and obstruction. “He started his campaign three months back. There were a lot of people inside his bus. He is halfway through the campaign and every day the crowd is decreasing and by the time he ends the campaign, only he and the driver will be there. He is even getting angry at the sound of an ambulance siren. Have you seen any leader act in such a manner?”“Even a common man would give way for an ambulance; this is human nature. But the Opposition leader told them to stop the ambulance and get the driver’s details. The next day he apologised and was angry at me as he thought I threatened him to drive an ambulance over him. I didn’t say that. I only said that he is causing hindrance to the public, blocking ambulances, threatening the crew and attacking them. I said that soon BJP will make AIADMK go in an ambulance and that our Chief Minister will come to protect you,” Udhayanidhi said.- EndsPublished By: Afreen Published On: Sep 23, 2025
