The Indian U19 brigade led by Ayush Mhatre would look to seal the three-match youth ODI series on Wednesday when they take on their Australian counterparts in the second game.
In the first game, the visiting Boys in Blue side won comfortably. Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi showcased his batting skills, while wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu and Vedant Trivedi’s unbeaten half-centuries led India U19 to a commanding seven-wicket win.
After opting to bat first, Australia could only post a total of 225 for nine, due to a brilliant effort by the Indian bowlers. Chasing the target, the visitors reached it with 117 balls to spare at the Ian Healy Oval, with Kundu and Trivedi remaining not out on 87 and 61, respectively.
